Update on Mom....

Since no one took the time or really didn't know where the photo came from I will let you know... It is the window from St. Theresa's Church what was closed down this year....I was up there yesterday snapping a few pictures before they decide to do something terrible like tear it down....

On to other news... we did not have a smiling mom this morning as we went to our appointment with Dr. Boucher... it started out to be another bio but ended up having the whole thing cut out instead... knowing full well that if he did a bio this morning he or I would not get her back to get it cut out....

He had to give her a second dose of stuff to freeze her face because the first one didn't take.... she was not a happy woman and threaten to leave a few times throughout... but I got her to stay for the whole thing... and when she got home she was no happier then when we were at the hospital...

In the photo she started to tell us what she wanted to do with her knee to the poor Doctor... and where he could go and that he might see her in 3 years instead of 3 months to get her ears cleaned again... she is a funny woman when she wants to be...

It is a few inches long and he cut about 1 inch or so from her face...
When I left after lunch this afternoon it was starting to turn blue....which I expected with her skin the way it was
Well that is about it for today... as you can see from the photos she is still not too pleased with what went on today but tomorrow will be a better day....
I do have a little news of dad but it is going to have to wait for the next one... nothing terrible but news... I am off to take someone to work....
Have a great weekend all.... Joanne

Thank God The Day Has Come To An End....

My day start late which made me late for appointment with mom at the hospital ... I feel so bad for my puppies... they were not out of their kennel for 40 minutes when they were put back in for the rest of the day... because after the hospital it was lunch time and then off to talk to Mrs. Arseneau about mom's hearing aid.... and after dropping mom off at the house I had to head for an appointment myself with my car... and finally at 5 pm I hit the door of the house with two little puppies crying to be let out...so now they have stopped jumping and saying hi... they are laying on the bed watching me type at the computer.... I am sure they are very happy being left out...

If any one is wondering the hospital appointment about the lack of weight that mom has on her... there has been many suggests to add some more to her diet if she takes them that is another story... but we will see... she was also weighed and will be returning next month to see if she followed the woman's suggestions .... eating butter instead of the diet margarine she has been.... adding YOP or something like it for a snack in the afternoon...as well as in the evening... not just eating 1/2 of her sandwich and of course I told dad to be sneaking and add a little more to her plate at night... as for her heading aid... it is simple it is not the hearing aid that is the problem 7 years ago when she took her hearing test she had 85% comprehension and then almost 2 years ago it was down to 25%....some days are really good days and some days are bad ones... we have to make sure we deal with the bad ones as comfortable as possible... so that was the day with appointments with mom... but I do have to say there will be no two appointments in one day again for a while... it really tires mom out ... and today was an off day for me the waiting drove me crazy... and to end the day I wanted my car with its regular check up and oil change before I took mom and dad down to Yvette's on Sunday so that was another 45 minutes of waiting... Have I even mention how much I hate waiting for things... ohhh I am sure....

It is now raining so there is no way I can get out and do anything outside maybe tomorrow since I did mention that it was doggie day tomorrow which means that I am staying home for most of the day so they can not have to be in their kennel... I really feel so bad when I have to do that...
Tomorrow it is calling for just cloud so I will get to work and finishing up putting things around outside... maybe cut down some of the plants that have died already and maybe get a few things around the house clean.... 8 days before you know who comes home... not that I am counting but then tonight I will know what time he is coming in ... to Bathurst which means I don't have to go anywhere to pick him up .... ohhhh happy day... and then the count down will really be on and like you guys are not going to know about it....LOL... ya right sure....

And what are the plans for the week he is home... well... I am going to build this high fence around the house and put a lock on the gate and will allow him to leave only to visit his parents... that is about it... I am keeping him to myself... me and me alone....I am greedy LOL....

I am off to look and see what I can make for dinner... see what else I have bought in movies I have not seen yet and maybe get some crafts of some kind done... I am getting tired of scrap booking think the knitting needles are coming out... hmmmm who does have my Christmas doilies yet... LOL...

Through My Eyes

Warning my heart is too full to leave it all bottled up....

In the last week I have been taking mom up to see dad at the hospital...(as well as Roger, Flo and Pat but I am going to talk about my trips).... it is always so cute to watch mom as she slows down just a little as she gets to the door of dad's room.... and peaks into the room to see if dad is sitting on the chair...before she walks in.... Dad's eyes lighting up when he sees her coming through the door as he watches her walk across the room to receive his hello kiss from her as she sits in the chair next to him....his big hand taking her ever so small one into his as he holds it and talks to her about her day before... how they look at each other knowing that each miss each other so much because they are apart... The little lean ins to say something private to each other trying not to let anyone else know ... mom smiling at something dad had said to her almost as if she was back in her teenage years....

A smile comes across my heart to know these two people who are so important in my life more now then they were when I was growing up... back then it was because I needed them for the basic things in my life... today it is because they are who they are that makes them so important... the way my mother makes me laugh over the silliest things... the loving feeling I get from her when she takes my face into those tiny hands.... dad's hugs... the loving look he gives each and everyone of us making us feel that we are the special one in his life next to mom....

I know that they are not going to be here forever... even though I could be the one that is gone tomorrow before them... but each day that we get to share is one more that I will hold in my heart to get me through the rough times when they are not here to help us...

So is any one wondering why this came about tonight .... I am sure someone is... I got a note tonight that Mama 2 from Thunder Bay had suffered a heart attack this week... she is doing okay at the moment... I called and talked to her for a few minutes tonight only to realize that even though she has not been in my personal live for several years my heart was still with her and Papa 2... They were the mom and dad I was missing so much when I was away from here...and of course I needed to write after all of that... so my head can be clear enough to go to bed and my eyes could water the first of my t-shirt I am wearing... I am an emotional fool at times... but I would rather be that then a cold hearted one that has nothing within herself...

Jo
P.S. When dad went to see the doctor about 10 days ago... he had gained more weight... I believed it was water and I think it was because yesterday when they weight him he was down 22 pounds... his legs today were not hard like steel... there was actually some give to them... they also gave him an ultra sound of his heart... I am not sure why that is and he didn't know as well... you know dad...he does as he is told when he is in the hospital... and rarely ask why... but he is looking a lot better... sounding a lot better in this breathing as well... so that is all good news... will keep you up to date as I get the news... Good Night...
