For the last couple of days I have been taking my camera with me... I realized that I have not been taking photos at all recently knowing that there were a few places along the road to town that I wanted to take photos of... and here they are....
Our oak tree in our back yard
It always goes from green to this rusty color red...
hmmm now that would be a color I would like somewhere in the house....
wonder if I could find it in the paint stores...
it would be a heck of a lot better then
the red that Carl picked out for the hall LOL
For the last couple of weeks this apple tree
has caught my eye every time I passed it
and I finally stopped the other day and snapped some photos of it...
Though they are not eatable they are still hanging on for dear life
to stay around for just a little bit longer...
but if us humans would maybe a deer will enjoy them before they fall off...
I think cat tails just brings back memories of our youth, collecting them..
soaking them into gas and then later lighting them...
There is another topic that I would like to talk about this morning... nothing to do with nature at all but family.... I have always been big with my nieces and nephews... most of them I have took care of at one time or another.... and that made me closer to them.... actually Yvette's three girls were like my first family... and even today though they are all grown up... they are still in my heart my three girls... not sure if that would have changed if I would have had a little girl of my own... and think God help the first one of my boys ever have a little girl how spoiled she would be... by me... well Carl as well... but there are two of the 14 grandchildren in this family that I have not been able to get to know at all... there was a divorce when they were younger and the mother choose to keep them from this side of the family... that was her choice... The youngest of the two did at one time decided that he needed to be in contact with us and came to visit mom and dad... until he married and moved out of town... and for the last three years have not seen very much of him.... the oldest made the choice of having nothing to do with the family... but this week while I was working on things of the past I thought of updating the family tree since it has been several years since I did it.... and when I opened my file I realized I had no information on these two boys at all.... I have to say thank you for face book because if it was not for that I would not have been able to find out what I did.... that the oldest is now married and is expecting their first child in Feb of 2009.... now I am hoping that I will get some recent pictures of these now two young men... and of their children so I can update the family tree document better then what it has been.... over the years... because when I get to my brother's family there is only two little boys that have never grown up....
Well that is my thoughts of the day... I hear a little whimper coming from downstairs which means I have to start my day even if I want to or not...
Have a wonderful Hump day guys...
Joanne
