A Day Late but better late then never... don't you think?

86 years ago she came into this world by the grace of God...52 years ago she became my mom....Today we celebrated her birthday...as we gathered together at home those that could...In recent years I have been terrible as I celebrate each and every occasion to the fullest hoping with all my heart that it will not be the last time it would be celebrated...but knowing that it could be...
I hug her with tenderness knowing that if I squeeze too hard I may break her... I hold her hand and it seems to be that of a young child's but I look and see they are of a woman that has worked hard all her life... taking care of the man she loved the day she married and more so today.... of the children she brought into this world... caring for their needs... allowing them to grow... teaching them to be strong and letting them go into to the world to make their own pathway through life....
I thank God that I still have her with us... so we can celebrate another occasion in her life...
Happy Birthday Mom
Love Always and Forever
Jo Jo

Hubert and Yvette came up to celebrate and visit...

And Yvette got on the phone... with Louie... for a while...
Roger was home sick from work... like if you want to believe that one... he just didn't want to miss out on all the fun... and yes that is dad in the background with a sling ... he got his wrist done in the morning...
I thought they were posing for a photo but I think it was for
Comparing really... and I think Yvette won... LOL (and I will say it...it is because I wasn't there... but behind the camera LOL)
Maybe not ... they all look quite equal to me LOL....(yes I am bad)
Hmmm no baby around for a while...
the Aunties are going crazy... looking for baby hugs...
(the look in Phoenix's eyes look like they are saying Auntie Jo save me please )
Yvette made the sandwiches... I made the soup...
I think they liked it ... there was not much of anything left...
Happy Birthday to you

There are more photos but thought this would be enough for now... and there was one with me but since I am posting this I had the choice of putting it in or not... and as you see NOT...
