Friday afternoon on my way home from doing some running around and taking mom up to the hospital I was thinking of the two days I had lost with the weather... I love this time of the year the bugs are almost gone and it is cooler to work out in the garden and the last two day were just perfect for it... and I didn't get to do anything so I had a little discussion with Mother Nature telling her if she could give me Saturday with no rain... I was not even asking for a sunny day just no rain I would do some much needed work in the garden...
So this morning I got up twice.. once at 4:30 and then again at 7:30 and instead of heading outside I headed to the market... but it was not for long because when I came home I said that was it I asked for this day and I got it so I better get my butt out there and work.... and work I did.... I got all of last year's new bed cleaned leaving only the garden mums which are just about to bloom standing alone... I decided to remove the annuals now instead of waiting for the spring... that way I could the flowers and weeds out at the same time...the marigold bed is also cleaned and this years new bed which I am now going to call the north bed because when I was cleaning it I found moss in it... cleaned up as well....I have to say after all of that I was a tad bit tired and very sore since it was quite a while since I had worked in the beds... but it was very nice to do it... I have several other things I would have liked to do yesterday but time ran out on me... Carl had dinner ready when I came into the house for water and a bathroom run... so the gloves came off... the hat was put away and the old garden clothes were thrown into the hamper for another day....
Of course I did take a few photos of everything...like I usually do... and I did take a few extras of the sunny flower that appeared in the side bed.... and my autumn joy and the bubble bees...I will put those photos in next time...
