The Left Overs

When I got up this morning it reminded me of when I was living in Thunder Bay.... and all the wind that we had... the trees bending almost in 1/2 and things flying all around the place... my next thought was ohhh mom is not going to like going out today in this wind... she hate the wind... which is understandable with her hearing aid...

Our little green tin shed is getting a beating this morning... I am wondering if there will be any roof left at the end of this day if the wind continues to blow in this manner...

When I decided enough of being up so late last night I didn't realize that there was only 4 more pictures to scan but here they are...

The winter of 1966 and that is Tommy the baby of the family

Roger at the prom with his date Louise

No date on this one but it is once again Tommy at Christmas

Last but not least Yvette dated January 1970 in her apartment

on Doucet's ... I remember this dress it was an off white with

gold trim.... and I am totally amazed she is cooking with it on...

and doesn't that look tell you be back off mister... LOL
Wednesday 16th.... It has been a few days since I have been here but the mornings have been filled with next year.... each year around this time I start with the calendars... one for mom for her pills and then the family one... dad's blood pressure sheets for the year and of course the addressing of the envelopes for both my parents and our Christmas cards... yes I start very early with all of this, that way I don't have to be under the gun in December to get them done while trying to do 100 plus things for Christmas.... In the last few days I completed mom's calendar and almost the family one... as for addressing envelopes well that is going to take a bit since I am not getting replies back on new addresses from family members... either I am going to bug the crap out of them or just say ohhh well no card this year...
I was up to see dad Monday and Tuesday but Tuesday was the day with the best news... they are thinking of letting him come home on Saturday... thinking is what they said... we are hoping that it will come true... it will be very nice to have him home once again.... each day his legs and feet are getting smaller and smaller...actually it has been a very long time since I have seen them like this... very nice...
Besides that there has not been a lot going on... the sun has been shining the last few days and the weather is a bit cooler a sure sign of Fall is on its way.... a few of the Maple trees around the yard are starting to show their fall colors... going to have to charge up the batteries for the cameras...
I was asked by Pat to add some color to her news office so I will be working on that one in the next few days... going through some of the photos I have collected over the years... I am sure I will find a few that I will want to add to the collection that is already on my walls... a couple of years ago I was looking for something to put up on the walls of the dining room after I had put a fresh coat of paint on it... and after looking through the different stores I realized that Carl and I have been snapping away like crazy for several years so why was I out looking to buy when I could use our own photos and that is what is on our walls today... Our photos with a few exception... so when we take a photo that we really like we frame it and add to it or like this year take all the photos down and put new photos in... for a change... I am always at the stores so when I see a frame I like and it is at a good price I pick it up for the next photo.... actually I have several empty frames around waiting for that special photo...
Well I think I need tea and food to start my Wednesday... someone announced last night that he was coming home early this week... so need to do some picking up around the house he he...
Have a wonderful day all... I am going to...
Joanne
