Today has been a productive day for me.... starting with finally finishing up the 25 pounds of beets Carl happen to take home with him last weekend... made chicken veggie soup, beet jelly and I just sat at the table for the last 1.5 hours cutting up lemons and oranges for some marmalade...don't ask I think I am going backwards in my life instead of forward... beet jelly was a stable in my family while the boys were growing up and marmalade was my treat since no one else in the family really liked it... today since I stayed home for the morning all of this started to come back as a desire to have... so by dinner time and I had everything but the marmalde done, leaving it for tomorrow morning when I get up.... Though I am alone the soup will be eaten I am taking it up to the house tomorrow for lunch ... thought I would give Flo a break since she has been making all the meals this week while dad is in the hospital...
I don't think there was too much new with dad tonight because no one said anything to me when I was up tonight... so I have no news on what is going on since yesterday...
Tonight I have something very valuable around my neck... and I keep checking every few minutes to make sure that they are still there... I would not know what I would do if I lost them... mom's diamond and wedding rings.. they have gotten so big on her finger so I am taking them in to get a guard on them so they will fit her fingers...so tomorrow morning as soon as I get up I will be off to get them fixed ...
