Your Mission If You Choose To Accept!!!

The day started cold and cloudy and it soon turned into cold and wet but that was not going to stop this family.

We were on a mission and we were not about to fail no matter what.... This mission was to celebrate the oldest of the family's birthday...

By 10 am everybody was on the road heading for the great old Miramichi... 5 from Bathurst and 1 from Legaceville... armed with cake, sandwiches and of course the most important thing next to cameras... presents for the birthday girl...

Within 15 minutes of Carl and my arrival all was there with lots of hugs, kisses and birthday wishes... the only problem was there was one missing... the Man of the house was out on his own mission... on his return to the house he was also armed with a cooler of those green things that turn red when hot...

Warning... there are many pieces of evidence of the success of this mission because of these two camera nuts...

Camera Nut A: Patsy aka CNA

Camera Nut B: Joanne aka CNB
( notice I did put the Older of them first LOL)
You be the judge on how much of a success this mission was...

Not really sure what was going on here... but I am sure Mom was wondering where everybody was...we seem to disappear quite quickly...

The Weekend Was Perfect For

The weekend was a perfect weekend for outdoors and working in the garden and getting some things cleaned up and fixed... Carl and Matthew were sweethearts and re did my green house.. the wind is not going through it any more... actually this morning when I was working at getting all my tacky decorations back on it the temperature was up to 25C already....

Nanny's rose bush has been moved with hopes that things will go a little better for it this year... teddy bears have been replaced on the bike but ended up using the old ones again... I glued one's butt to a rock and it is sitting on a rock chair in the back bed...... I also added another bike to the marigold bed that I got the last time we went through Rogersville.... my little swinging turtles needed some new rope to swing by.... and after all that was done I actually got to clean up two of the many beds this weekend... I also moved my baby's breath because the area was getting crowded...

Carl got the summer time hangers of the bird feeders out... so I also spent a little while getting all the colorful feeders up and the others that we put on the trees for peanuts for the Mr. Nuttys and Blue Jays... actually yesterday while I was working around I was informed by a few of them that the feeders were not filled yet what was going on... I guess that will be another little job for me to do this morning before heading into town....

Carl also plotted out an area for a veggie garden this year... not sure what is going in it but there will be a small one out there.... I know spring beans will be the first thing on the list when we decide what is going in there.... nothing like a pot of beans for a meal...

I do have photos of all of this but nothing is in the computer at the moment... actually I am writing this on Carl's this morning.... I know if I go up to mine I will never get out this morning and that is what I have today... the morning because this afternoon I have appointments and things to do... I think that is the hardest thing about this time of the year having to leave the yard to get other things done... maybe I should hire someone to do those things so I can just stay here and play in my flower beds....LOL

Well I am not getting anything done sitting here this morning...Have a wonderful Monday all... will be back later with photos... Joanne

Spring Cleaning Has Started....

Surprise, Surprise... second blog in two days... I had thoughts of getting out and starting to cut down last year's flowers but the rain has stopped me.... at the moment it is pouring down...

Yesterday afternoon I actually took some time and went out to the green house to see what was needed to be done and by the time I left.. my solar lights were all put back together and placed into three of my big planters... I guess the green house was lit up last night... which is a good sign that most of them are working... now to figure out where they are all going...

I raked, swept, cut down things that got through the flooring and cleaned up the floor ... decided that I really didn't need all the little pots that I have been storing for the last several years so they are in bags... but not really sure where I am going to put them... maybe along side the road with "You want them ... Take them" someone else can probably can use them...

While cleaning the floor I discovered that I have a mama to be hiding between the shelves that we use in the house before we put everything outside... .. a little mole... I am sure I scared her enough that she wouldn't be back ... though it would have been nice to found it later on when the babies were born... that would have been some good shots... I will check in a few days to see if she returned and I am sure you will all know that she did... photos, photos, photos.... I would just like to see how small they are when they are born...

All the lawn decorations are cleaned up and ready to be put out when I get the beds cleaned up... they are calling for sun tomorrow so maybe I will get started then....

Have a good Friday and weekend all... Joanne
